| History's Greatest Checker Players Although the best player in the history of checkers is widely regarded as Marion Tinsley, there is much debate concerning which players fill out the top ten list of checkers' all-time greatest. How do you compare checker players through history? Should one consider the number of major tournaments a player has won, his or her official rating, consistency in performance, the quality of his or her competition, the quality of his or her games, etc.?
